Education

I studied Physics and Chemistry at Seattle University where I earned my Bachelor's Degree, graduating with honors. Subsequently, I moved to New York where I earned my Medical Degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Throughout my education I earned outstanding grades and exceptional test scores... and I help my students achieve the same!

Experience

I am an experienced Science educator and have been teaching for over 14 years, both one-on-one tutoring and in the classroom setting. I have worked for two Universites, two Medical schooles, and several prominent national tutoring/exam-prep companies. My Sophomore year of college I was hired by the Seattle University Academic Support Office to tutor Physics, Chemistry, and Calculus. I caught the teaching bug and have not stopped since. I currently work for Stony Brook University Hospital as a Radiologist in the Department of Emergency Imaging. I also work for Kaplan as an MCAT/SAT instructor and tutor. In my independent tutoring practice, I focus on helping children and young adults from middle school through college master basic science and mathematics. My tutoring method is goal oriented. I start with a thorough evaluation of the student's performance, strengths, weaknesses, and goals, both academic and professional. The student and I develop a study plan together, and an important part of my method is motivating and encouraging my students to reach their goals. My students tell me I have a way of making difficult subjects fun, and I always try to keep the subject interesting because learning is much easier when it doesn't feel like a chore. I view my students' success as the best measure of my success, and the greatest reward of this job is seeing my students reach their goals. If you feel that you or your child is not reaching their academic potential, don't hesitate to contact me today. I am happy to offer a complimentary evaluation.
